Ok. All those who have requested Pics thrugh Email will have them by sunday evning. Im gone for the weekend and will be back on sunday. The hoover 1076 i think is sold. The runabout stick i think is sold. The bissells being looked at. The boss 1934a is being looked at. the rest are avalible and the ones being looked at are. Thanks for all your interest

The classic Eureka Boss Upright 1934 is a great performer...

It may even be a bit too strong with its 5 amp motor - you need to raise the Dial-A-Nap to a higher level when starting off with an empty bag. Here's a link to a page from Eureka Canada: http://www.eurekavac.ca/uprights/1934A.shtml

It's a great "bare-bones" version of the tried and true Sanitaires on the market today......you can even hook up a New-Old-Stock set of full-size Eureka attachments to it.

I don't think it's too strong at all. It's just about right IMHO to do just about any task. I've got one that unfortunately lives at our shop at the moment doing office duty. The best thing you can do for these vacuums is to ditch the crappy wooden Disturbulator and get a VGII or a 4-brush generic VGII with ball bearings. Not only will your belts last considerably longer, but you'll make an excellent cleaner out of an already "good" cleaner. I just can't get used to those plastic handles though...

That's very interesting......

when the Boss 1934 came out in the early 1990's it actually came with a VG II. My friend's machine came with one. They must be selling it now with the cheaper wooden Disturbulator.

On another note, Eureka used the word "Disturbulator" way back in the late 1950's. The manual for my childhood turquoise Eureka Automatic upright referred to the brushroll with this very name.

Sounds like the name Schwarzenegger might have had in some futuristic action movie......"Don't mess wiz me....I am ze Disturbulator!"
