Thanks, Robert, for allowing this in the most visible place.
We learned that Toby Glenn, longtime member of The VCCC, passed away last night.
Another member has left us.
There will be more info pending.
we also were told, that his collection is being entrusted to one of our members. (That's a side point)
The last time I saw Toby was in Austin, Texas,at The Rainbow Roundup Convention. How proud he was to be having the convention in his home state.

How sad, the serendipity of the very first vacuumland post got bumped just mere days before he died.

He will continue to live on in spirit in the vacuums he collected that get passed down the chain of collectors.

Oh wow I can't beleive we lost Toby. He was one of the very first off this forum to reach out to me. I know he was going through a tough time since he lost his mother.

Rest easy, Toby. I'll miss you

I know Hans Craig is just devastated. He had so many good things to say about Toby and I know they were close.

Thank Goodness that Toby made arrangements for his collection. I always had the somewhat cavalier attitude that "well, I'm dead so it doesn't matter". But it does. We should all use Toby's example to at least figure out the 'who' they would go to. I told Donnie last night to just open up the Museum to our personal friends and let them take what they want.

Sorry I missed this thread. Toby was a great guy. We talked a lot when he first joined the club. He will me missed.

Many of us were unable to attend the funeral. The VCCC did purchase some very nice flowers for the funeral. I've never met Toby only communicated online. Others in the club spoke highly of him. He will be missed!
