Many of us here will remember Dave Olsen who was the Vacuum Cleaner Collectors Club treasurer for many years. Sadly he passed away early this morning. Dave worked for many years in the banking system only to later become ordained as an Episcopal Priest.
I had the opportunity at a convention held in the Milwaukee Wisconsin to attend church with Dave at the campus he attended during seminary. He used to joke that they were similar to catholic but without all the guilt.
We also held a convention in Portland Oregon where he resided and got to see some of his many collections, which included not only vacuums but telephones and cars.
Dave will be missed by his partner Peter Carney.
