I just ran across this Electrolux Model V on eBay. It appears to be in sad condition: the handle is broken, the seller states they know absolutely nothing about the vac, etc. It appears the only things there are the machine, cord (and possibly the rest of the handle, I can't really tell) and the strap. The plus side of this, the machine is priced under $20, so someone might want to give it a good home! Someone that's good a repairing metal, could possibly fix the handle and give it a new lease on life.....

That is sad....ton of work there in a restoration. Motor probably seized.  Don't know how rare these are but the shipping is more than the vacuum right now.

The seller doesn't know it's a model V. Wasn't it on the nameplate or debossed on the trim like the model XXX?

Apparently that was the common way to do it on the early European made Electroluxes. I have run across quite a few like that, including the model 11 I have (1126)
