what year would my royal model 153 be made in?

I have a old royal model 153 with a original purple shakeout bag. I haven't found any online so I was wondering If u guys have clue.

The model 153 had quite a long run, from 1945 through 1987. Here's a pic of mine. It was an economy model with no headlight, plain cover plate (no adjust-o-rite), and the earlier ones had only one cord hook. And although you can't tell from the pic, mine has only one rear wheel.

Slight correction: the 153 was phased out in 1985 and replaced by the 4.5-amp model 154 that did run through 1987.

The 154 had the same light blue cotton twill shake-out bag as the 153 but it had the Royal "ribbon" logo prior to March 1986, then the "Royal Five" logo thereafter until being discontinued.

What you mention is a Dirt Devil product from 1987. The Power Tanks were more robust.
