These are the only Royals I own. The M1038Z I bought last week looks near new and seems to be in great condition with just a few minor scratches. I had wanted a newer Royal and the orange monster was the right price and condition and yes it is the Chinese model but that is okay. My understanding is the Royals and Dirt Devils are no longer manufactured, is this correct. The PowerCast RY9200 I bought new in the box and was new old stock 2 or 3 years ago. I have only turned it on and it still has a new bag in it. I think it is heavier the the green Bison I once had. The little Royal Model 129 I put up there ranking the same as the Singer Model R1 I have. The 129 is light in weight and cleans well. I was able to find the gray bag that is in the shape of the original bags. The brush roll in this 129 may be original and has a brass sleeve over the wood as pictured. Should I ever use the 129 I have a zip unit that uses F&G bags. I buffed the 129 up a few years back and you can see in the last picture how oxidized the aluminum was. I believe the 129 is close to being the first motor drive brush Royal. Tom (dysonman1) has one the looks the same but I do not recall knowing the model number, I believe his had the original bag on it. I really do not use any of these machines as I have hard wood floors and a Shark I bought at a thrift shop for $35.00 about 5 years ago seems to handle that. What a bad person I am.

The

Royal 129 if you get a picture or abs fitting with the same diameter of the bag inlet. If you get 2 street 45 degree fittings you can use f&G bags on it without changing the bag. You don't have to glue anything it should fit good. ONERY HAS A Video he made showing the setup.

Thanks Les

Thank you Les, but I don't use any of them and they are kept in large plastic trash bags in my workshop area under the garage so no need to convert the bags. I do appreciate your thoughts.
