I obtained a Royal "Pony" tank-type vacuum awhile back, at an auction. It looks like an older style Lux that has a cordwinder bell on it, the vacuum is blue in color. It has a metal tank. What I am needing is the bracket assembly with wheels, that screw into the bottom of the machine, near the blower end of the vacuum. Is it possible to rig up something that would work, or would I need to contact Royal to see about ordering the part I need?

I doubt Royal would have what you need at this point. You could probably rig something up. The assembley is really nothing special. Its really just a bent piece of metal with fasteners and simple wheels.

Go to www.airtec.com--the makers of the Black Knight vacuum. They have a large parts list for their machine, which is a knock-off of the old Royal machines. And great machines they are! The rear wheel assembly is their part # BK-1090. This should screw on and be your answer! Greg Bushman in Seattle
