Just aquried this today, works well besides
slight arching while in high speed mode.
My guess behind the arching is,since this
cleaner is a "pro-series" and/or Heavy-Duty
cleaner,It would've been used in a(n)
industrial enviroment,Such as a(n) House-
Keeping service,Where excessive damage
would be inflicted on the armature.

Does anyone else have any Royal Pro-Series
machines?What's the history/story behind
them?

I have a red dirt devil hand vac and the royal prince. a cast aluminamum version of the hand vac. a very smooth sounding motor and you could get them at royal dealers or fancy catalongs. I got mine from ebay for 30 dollars and free shipping. works great.
