Our UK equivalent was probably the Hoover Dustette, but I don't think they had revolving brushes?
I wish we could buy something this good-looking today. Its gorgeous!

For $5, that's a steal. I bought one just like it, original box and all, year for $20. Like yours, it was only missing the dusting brush. The funny thing is I had an identical one, albeit gray instead of white, left over from a Douglas ATV wet/dry shop vac I'd gotten rid of a few months earlier.
