Note: this is not my auction item.

Are Royal Powercasts really this valuable? Had no idea that a beat up red model with no bag, and a damaged cord might be worth $200 + shipping. And to beat it all, it's not even guaranteed to power up.

It's not like the bags are hard to come by. It uses Dirt Devil type U bags. I may have to clean up my working Powercast 9200 and list it on ebay if this one sells...

Glad I have two working Powercast in good shape-on one the upper cordholder broke. These machine did perform well-but were HEAVY and delicate.A cleaning service in Greenville tried them-but they were too heavy, and broke easily-they were replaced with Sanitaires.Think the Sanitaire is better, and cheaper. And the Powercast dimmed the lights as you turned it on.I am afraid the Royal direct air metals were lighter-performed better, and more rugged.I don't think the machine offered is anywhere worth 200 bucks-this looks like the ones after the cleaning service tried them. The built in GFI device was a nice touch.Only vacuum I have seen that had this. The small "U" bag was another problem for this machine-it filled so quickly!Another bag type should have been used in the Powercast.
