Very functional "as is" Royal 9200, with toy bag. Has worn corners on nozzle bumper, top cord hook needs some love, some distortion on the connecting hose. Will trade for a Kirby Heritage II or Legend. Fear not, Dustin, she loves you Heritage enough to take it with her to her grave.

I would trade...

.
for it but i fear the shipping costs are just too high out to California. I have a Heritage II there that i am ready to sell.
You said, "some distortion on the connecting hose" Will it affect the performance of the vacuum?

Would probably cost ~$40 to ship, and the Kirby compresses well. There is a post on here in a thread by Dustin showing how he shipped a Kirby 517. As for the hose, it doesn't seem affect performance. Here's another close-up. I'll look for the Post by Dustin, & maybe find out what he paid to ship. Thanks for the interest!

Steve

The post I mentioned is under the Vintage heading, "Birthday Present to Myself" #20154 By Electrolux137, who happens to be in L.A. and Dustin is about 30 miles from me, for comparisons.

Hmm...

well if you are in a hurry then i'm out. I will be back in California in mid June, if you are still interested or still have this Royal perhaps we can work a deal. My Kirby has a pile of attachments. I have never used the Heritage II since i acquired it two years ago. I also never cleaned and sorted it when i got it. So i can't tell you much about it's condition right now, it will have to wait until i get back. It is stored in a clean dry place inside though.

i have

I have the kirby legend 2 the pinkish color with all attachments and shampooer and boxes original for $50.00 plus $30 shipping nice vac was my aunts

I have a kirby heritage 2, and kirby legend 2. Both have been totally restored. New bearings, new brushes, new brush roll, new fan, new bumper, new wheels, painted iner nozzle, tons of other new stuff, and the metal has been polished to a like new shine. It is $200 plus shipping a piece for them. Attachments are an extra 20.

Thanks for the replies! My accomplice is looking for a good user friendly basic Kirby for a friend, atttachments not required, disposable bags a must. Her preference is a Heritage II or Legend. The Royal was deemed too cumbersom for the intended recipient, and she fell in love with the Heritage we got from Dustin, so it stays here. Since we have plenty of functional cleaning gear, the Royal is up for grabs for any reasonable offer, cash or trade. We are in the Lansing, Michigan area.
