Hey

I really like the bag. Does it have a headlight? Nice vacuum. I might be so inclined tomorrow day 2 off I'll do my sanitairre and eureka and ready for sale I may get 2 old royals done. I have been waiting for my c8 bumper to come but it's still not here.

Hey

The same Sylvania 1650 bulb or ba15d led lights fit it. There was a thread a couple weeks ago and the bulbs I mentioned all fit. Some people found at hardware store. FYI

Karl,

What is the serial number on this machine, please?

If it is a 1970 or older machine, the nameplate will be found riveted on the bottom of the motor housing.

But if it is 1971 or newer (which I assume is most likely), then the nameplate will be in the form of a decal affixed to the back of the nozzle casting.

Example of serial number: 37J-A-79185. The first digit in the date code is the year of the decade (3 being 1973), the second is the decade (1970s), and the third (the letter) is the month (September),

Started taking the 606 apart today, washed out the bag, very dirty. The brushes need to be replaced soon, I could only get one of the caps off for the brushes, the plastic cap is falling apart. I need new plastic caps for the brushes and new brushes. Also, I put oil in the bearing ports.

I also need a new belt, the paper work that came with the vacuum says part # 43260 A. I have a Royal belt part # 672260 001 that I got for my other Royal vacuum, will that one be ok?

Karl

Karl,

You will have to search around for some of these obsolete parts for your machine, but they are:

1-672021-000 = carbon brush assembly
1-672103-000 = brush holder screw assembly
1-801014-000 = set screw, brush holder
1-801019-000 = brush holder
1-801034-000 = brush holder protector cap
3-672105-000 = complete carbon brush assembly with above parts
