Royal model 501 hand vac

Bought this at a thrift store for $7.00. It has a blue handle, bag, and cable. Pics coming soon, but can anyone identify the age of the machine before i upload pics? And what is it worth? It is in fairly good condition with a little rust (I would clean it up before selling it)

Post up some information on the model number plate, I should be able to tell you the month and year from there?

Serial Number: M33 E 86722 (the M33 E is located in smaller print)
1.6 amps (I think)

Actually, the serial # you found reads: M83-E-86722 and the amps: 1.8. Your machine was made in December 1983.

Yes, December 1983 was when it was manufactured.
