What 9-bladed fan do you use to replace a tired, 6-bladed impeller fan on your Royal metal upright (March 1990 and back)?

The original 6-bladed impeller fan used on virtually all pre-1990 models was part #1-053004-000, and the shaft hole size is 7/32" dia. (about 6mm). The 9-bladed impeller fans are part #1-608004-000 (1/4" shaft hole size, slightly larger than 6mm) and #1-620004-000 (8mm, or 5/16", shaft hole size). The slip-fit fan used on virtually all 1990 and later models is part #1-608005-000, which has a shaft hole size of 8mm dia. (about 5/16").

My 1988 Stark Deluxe 5000NA is a virtual copy of the Royal 889 except it's black trim and gray bag, and uses the 6-bladed fan (#1-053004-000). Again, the shaft hole size on this fan is 7/32" dia.

Converting fractions to decimals, we have:
#1-053004-000 (threaded) = 7/32" (0.219" or 5.556mm) dia. shaft hole size
#1-608004-000 (threaded) = 1/4" (0.25" or 6.35mm) dia. shaft hole size
#1-608005-000 (slip on) = 5/16" (0.3125" or 7.937mm) dia. shaft hole size
#1-620004-000 (threaded) = 5/16" (0.3125" or 7.937mm) dia. shaft hole size)

Which would mean the oldest of the four impeller fans has the smallest shaft hole size of all, whereas the one threaded 9-bladed fan, part #1-620004-000, has the largest size of shaft hole. I could use part #1-608004-000 since its shaft hole size is marginally larger than the original, and is also threaded.

Thank you,

Ben
