Why would they do that? The metal uprights are the products Royal is most famous for!But wouldn't put it past TTI-Remember the Prince hand vacuum and the Royal Pony canisters?People liked these-then they were discontinued.Dealers want them, too.
Did NOT discontinue the pony or metal Royal prince . Royal did that years ago because of slow sales .
No one seems to understand today's customers are NOT into metal vacuums that look like antiques .
Every time I had a customer in my store people would ask me why I am selling old vacuums I always had to explain it's an old style that worked really well but they always went to the new modern looking vacuums . That's why Kirby will have a radically new vacuum to bring it up to
Date . Royal now makes one upright for the home because sales are way down . Metal machines of yesterday are GONE and will NEVER return stick with your old vacuums because once they're gone the end !
I agree with Dan here but another thing one can remember is that the metal Royal's are very desirable in commercial settings. I am pretty sure TTI makes some good money on the metal Royal sales. I could be wrong though, but judging from how many metal Royal's I see in commercial settings, I highly doubt that would happen.
You're right, I agree with you....the new Chinese made Royal uprights are screamers! Having said that, I am glad they are still being made & being sold. The Royal metal uprights are a proven design that WORKS! and perhaps even better than the Kirby.
With all of this--hang onto your metal Royals-both upright and canister. It was quite diffrent here-when the metal canisters were offered at the old Vacuum Cleaner Hospital place-they sold VERY briskly!People in this area liked them-and many still in use!!Sometimes they show up in trade in piles-but rare.Again-it was a design that WORKED-unlike many new ones offered today.
