I got my first Royal today, model 4000 & had a chance for a scone one ( See other thread) but the adjustorite didn’t seem to work and it’s much heavier than I expected and not any quieter really, than this larger amp one. Hmmmm. The light for the belt(?) doesn’t seem to work and reading the manual didn’t reveal any answers. Is it supposed to work like the ones on the Kirby’s?

A thorough clean g begins now! Also, anyone. Know where some accessories are available ? I didn’t see much on. Rbay last I checked checked

Kelton,

I think the usual trouble with the Adjust-O-Rite would perhaps be a worn-out belt. That may have been the case with the 886. For that model, you would have bought part #1044260001 as your replacement belt.

after several uses....

I really like this Royal!!! wow, it seems really powerful.....the carpet definitely 'comes up' and shows great lines after using it....carpet definitely fluffier, almost like using the Kirby carpet fluffer. Impressed for sure, its just loud like Ben and others have noted, relatively light weight etc. I"d recommend it for carpets.... not so much for area rugs....it wants to suck them up! I try and compensate by raising the power nozzle a bit though
