Last week I found a beautiful Royal 9700 at my local Goodwill outlet store where I have found most of collection. After cleaning off the aluminum "liver spots" with Barkeepers Friend followed by hand polishing with Mothers, it looks great with only a couple of minor scratches (to be removed later). I touched up the 2 tiny blemishes on the bag with a burgundy water color pen. It runs and sounds like new. I already had a nearly identical 4000 that I was going to keep in my Royal collection. I haven't had a Royal with a 7 amp motor yet, and I prefer it over the 10.5 amp in the 4700. I kind of like the hub caps on the 9700 too. So the 9700 is now the keeper and the 4000 has hit ebay.
