so these were made in the 70s

Mine is an 880 as well! I use it all the time and love it.

Call me a colour scheme nerd but the reason I guessed there were 70s (apart from that dashing shade of turquoise ) is because I noticed a pic of one of these with the hose and the hose was chrome with parts in a lovely shade of dull mustard brown lol

I bet it cleans well also, whilst being somewhat lighter than my Kirby Heritage 2 (us brits aren't used to such masculine vacuum cleaners lol) should make light work of my medium pile carpeting, carpet tiles and hard floors
