Hey
I got a royal 235 right after my mother passed and it was a project. I got it close to being done. I was missing the elusive belt cap and I'm told a wooden handle?
I found a belt cap I'm wondering on the handle?
I'm attaching pics. The vacuum was adoninized bronze colored.

Les,

That's a nice looking 235 you have there! The adjust-o-rite you found looks to be the right one, or at least close enough that it will look good on it. Having the original hose is also a plus. As for the handle, it looks both original and complete. Don't know of any wooden parts that go on there. Hopefully it runs as good as it looks! Here's a pic of my Royal 215 for reference.

Thanks

Jeff for the info. Your 235 looks beautiful. If I get mine close to as nice as yours I'll be happy. The belt cap is the first red and black I've seen for sale. I'm just glad to find it.
I'll post a pic of it when it's done thanks again.

Thank You Les!

Thank you for the kind compliment, but I've got to admit I don't deserve credit for this one. It was one of many vacuums given to me about 10 years ago from a friend and former collector who was downsizing his collection, and most of them were in excellent condition. They were all uprights, mostly Hoovers, Royals, Electro-Hygienes, a few Eurekas, a Good Housekeeper, and a Health-Mor. I just try to keep them in the same condition as they were in when he gave them to me.
Jeff
