I found this vacuum for sale locally, and I'm intrigued, but I haven't been able to find much information about this model. Any direction is appreciated.

Hmm...
Depending on the price I'd just pick it up. They're kinda like a lighter Kirby with fewer features. Definitely a great carpet cleaning machine.

2nd that-just get it!!!GREAT vacuums!!!!Kinda like a "poor mans Kirby"Does just as well.The attachments are harder to use-I just use my Royals for floor vacuuming-use separate canisters for the other jobs.Get the metal Royal canister to complement this vacuum!

It looks like a mid 90s- early 2000's 14 inch brush roll 7.2 amp commercial royal vacuum.
The black nozzle cover I believe is strictly commercial. It's going to rumble might be a model either right before or right after Everlast model.

I have the Deluxe Royal/Starks 5700 upright with the 7 amp motor and chrome wheel covers, a Royal 4650 canister and a Compact C9. The upright is a beast on my carpet, the canister does almost as well and get corners better plus all the attachments for cleaning furniture and walls and things, the C9 has a smaller power head and gets in tight spots easier plus it lighter and easier to drag out for quick touchups. I agree, that upright and a later metal canister and you'd have all your cleaning needs covered. I have a bunch of other machines but right now those 3 are my favorites.

Some of the lower-end household uprights (cf. 882, 2000) also had the plastic belt cover as well as the 5-position toe-touch height adjuster.
This model 2001SC is one of the "Anniversary Editions"; other Anniversary Edition Royals with the plastic belt cover and 5-position height adjuster included models 8801AE (1992-94, mallard green trim), 89103 (1994-95, black trim), 89130, 89135 and 89137 (1995-2001, with either black or mallard green trim).

Does anyone happen to know what type of height adjuster is on this model? Will it have the better brush roll with the stiffeners? Does this unit have a metal fan, and is this a 9 blade fan or_ ? Lastly, will the 7.2 amp motor be a decent quality and will it be extremely loud?
Here is a larger photo of the machine. I'm considering offering $50.

To answer your questions...
1. This one would use the 5-position toe-touch.
2. The brush roll on this machine would have no stiffeners (not really required).
3. The fan is indeed metal and has nine blades.
4. The drop-in motor is very loud and fast.
