Oh no no ... that is only the replacement bag.
The 153, which spanned many generations since before World War II, was actually Royal's lowest-tier member in its household line (the 602 was the step-up model, followed by the 801 and the 880). The serial # you posted indicates an October 1980 date of manufacturing. Let's see, back then the motor would have a 3.0 amp rating, right? Also, because of the serial #, there would've been a sticker applied on the side of the nozzle that said "Royal - 75th Anniversary."
The 153's original bag in 1980 was a light-blue cotton-twill fabric, which had red R-O-Y-A-L letters on the left half of the bag, and a crown on the right half. It had a black bag top and no zipper on the back.
