so I was talking to my mom tonight and realized that she has been using an oreck for years I bought her and it really was time for a big girl vacuum. So off my riccar goes. I hope she likes it and enjoys it. I have not really used the machine but I wanted to share this moment. My boyfriend told me "if only every mother had a son who took care of her vacuuming needs like you" lol

now thats the gift that keeps on giving the whole year thru,
RICCAR is by far my favorite..i have an 8925/vibrance..love them both.but your mom will be blown away with this one...great job....great gift....quieter too.

yes

well I am on a guilt trip from mom right now I am hoping this will make the trip shorter and be a good vac for her. As of right now her shop vac is an elux olympia from the last guilt trip lol. I hope she likes it I spent tonight polishing it and making it smell new so she wont bitch. I am praying she likes it, moms are tough to please,

i feel ya....but a riccar is pretty hard to beat, built rock solid and powerful. far more than what she was used to- not as nimble but aft a week shell love it. a great brushroll also. no worries tho..its a FREE RICCAR not many people get
one for free.that looks and runs great .a few days with the riccar and shell be tickled pink and youll be her little superstar.

That's a very nice machine. Good color. My room mate from college last year got a used Simplicity for his new apartment. It was very simple, and very well built. I'm starting to think this style of machine is really the superior modern upright vacuum design. I hope your mother likes it.

Matthew...

Mother's ALWAYS love Riccars!!! They love the fact they're light weight, easy to you, and work very well. My mother always tells people about Riccar when people ask her what she thinks is good. I also have several people that I know that clean that love Riccars because of how simple they are. I use my Riccar EVER day.
Your mother will SURELY love the Riccar AND you!!!

yay

I am hoping so. I told her that the bag would be full with one vacuum after using the oreck for 8 years. I do find this to be light and easy to use and the handle weight is good too. She has back issues and it is important for me to not make it worse.

Matt stop feeling guilty :o)

I know the feeling but Moms do come around(usually).

Nate,The Riccar's of that type are like the older Panasonic/Kenmore's but more durable because of the metal bottom plate/brushroll. I think they are easier to push because of that reason to. They also clean a bit deeper because the head is slightly hevier IIRC.

Nathaniel...

I have a dealer by me that is the same way. That's why I stopped going there LMAO!!!
:D
But anyways, Riccars are good. I myself just like it for a daily-driver. I wouldn't just live off of a Riccar. Everyone has their preference. Try one!!!

bagintheback

really', its a great machine overall, very durable and really good suction...great b-roll...bags are ez to get .. panasonic u bag works fine also.not a performer like a sanitaire sc684..dont see anything that is...or the suction power of a kirby.....i do love a riccar...but i also have a tiny fleet that i use all the time....but if i had to pick one and it be my all use one?...riccar 8925

well

my mother would hate a sanitaire it does not transition from carpet to tile so well and she has both so it was important for her to have this feature. I bought the bags she has like a million for it she will never go through them all before she will get bore with it. He oreck bless its heart is just a loud beastly thing. I have one and have it because when I am 90 I will sell it on ebay lol.

hahaha

i agree with you 100%...i say the riccar should keep mom happy for a spell...she;ll hear better thats for sure...and yes shell be amazed at what was left after the oreck.
