Dan with

regard to your Immaculate it looks great! Do the attachments store under a lid or are the clipped to the wand only?

Thanks...L.P.

L.P. They store under the lid. They are larger than the Miele attachments, and I like the smooth opening of the lid compared to the Miele. It auto-opens when you press the button. It will open even further manually once you do so. Not sure why it doesn't open fully upon press, but it's not a bother at all.

Horsehair dusting/upholstery tool only stores on the wand.

I wasn't suggesting they were. I'm just saying it is a copy of the Miele in every way. And I respect companies that come up with their own designs :-)

Riccar Immaculate

Hey Dan,

What a nice looking Riccar Immaculate. I must admit the color looks better in your home than my dealer friend's showroom. I think you made an excellent choice and will clean your home very well for a very long time.

So to update this old thread...

Upon my second use of the Immaculate, the unit died completely. I bring it in to get looked at and my Riccar guy says the circuit board blew completely. He had to replace the whole circuit board with a new one.

So I got that going for me with an $1,100 vacuum right off the bat. Which is nice. 😳

Certainly

a bit of a disappointment. However, there are a small percentage of failure with any electrical or mechanical part. You had a very early in life problem that will be solved in warranty and likely never happen again.

The Riccar looks really nice and all the best for many years of enjoyment.

I agree with Tom.

The Riccar immaculate is nothing like a Miele canister....I've seen them both in person, quality and performance is night and day difference. Even the power heads can't compare to one another, the Riccar has a steel brushroll with REPLACEMENT brush trips and the agitation is second to none. The Miele's power head is weak with a much softer brush roll and doesn't have replaceable brush strips. Also Riccar has wonderful tools, like a real horse hair dusting brush and the best hard floor tool I've ever seen in my life! Not to mention they are actually usable...Miele's tools are like tiny useless toys.... Tacony never copied Miele, they simply made a better vacuum cleaner. The end.

Plus Taconys

Hose is much longer than any miele hose and the quality of the hose material is far superior .

Amazing high end Tacony vacuums are hands down better than Miele I have sold both in my store and always sold more Tacony (Simplicity) vacuums than Miele once I showed the tools and hose it was a no brainer .
