Hey everyone, I have a quick question.

Today while vacuuming, the dirt sensor light on the power head of my Riccar canister was staying solid orange (sensing dirt) even though I kept going over and over the same area. Even if I took it off the carpet (it would flash between green and orange).

I stopped the power head and detached it to see if there was anything in the tube but all was clear.

It then fixed it self and started acting normal again. Mostly green only turning orange once in a while. I went over the area where it was solid orange and it was reading green (clean).

Is there a sensor some where that I can see or check out...or was it just an anomaly?

Thanks in advance.

I'm still very much liking this vacuum.

The sensor lens needs to be wiped off. Dirt in the brush area will collect on it, giving a false reading of dirty. Remove the brush roller, and with a dry cloth, wipe off the lens.
