This vacuum is a beast!! It went under in a flood and still works perfectly fine other than the bottom plate is rusted out. What a champ!! It's actually a really quite vacuum for an upright.

Here you can see the rust. It actually still had the plastic protective film on the label when I got it.

I have this same model. Mine has a time dial date on it from 1984. This is a beast. I'm guessing it's the first Riccar vacuum? This is just the Panasonic private labled for Riccar.

The very first Riccar was a private labeled Vorwerk. Panasonic did the second and third versions before Tacony bought Riccar and brought the design "in house".
