Ok so I'm working on a Riccar Vibrance Commercial upright that's been in heavy use for about six years now. It belongs to a small church that my Aunt goes to that isn't doing well financially so they asked me to fix their vacuum. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place where I can get parts at a reasonable price? It's going to need new brush strips a new headlight bulb and a new belt. If anyone could let me know that'd be awesome! Thanks again!

I may be wrong, I tend to work with what I have on hand, much automotive products. I often use rubbing or polishing compound to clean up a metal bottom plate, really bad I may start with a scrubby/ sponge, lightly.I have even waxed after, they slide well! There is prob better advise or product, again I use what I have.

Re: Riccar Commerial

I started working on the machine and come to find out I only need a new belt which I'm going to get tomorrow at a local vacuum shop. The brush strips actually look brand new and the headlight I can get it Lowes. Thanks again for all the replies!

Personally

If you really need to save money- I wouldn't bother spending money on a light bulb.(Unless you are doing it for the church for free). You really don't need it unless they are going to be vacuuming in darker areas- after all, most new vacuums today don't even have headlights anymore! But, that is just what I think -Mitchell

Good Point.

The new light bulb was only 4 dollars so I went ahead and paid for that myself so the machine could be like new for them again. Its now ready to be put into weekly use!
