Hey guys.

I have this old metal based eureka that has no dings but missing paint. How should i go about repainting it and with what paints?

Should I sand it or sandblast it? Or is that even needed?

What primer?

And also do any of you know where i can get a nice bag that looks like a retrovac bag? or a retrovac bag? or anything that would look good on this machine?
i know im asking alot but i gotta know because i dont want to mess it up!!!!

i have the same one..

for some reason you never see one of those
a. with the original bag

b. in mint condition..the always have at least two scratches and several scuffs....yours is still very nice...as long as the motor is in great running order...just do what you can to the hood and base....trust me i have several metal Eurekas....its not worth possibly ruining the machine...

just my educated two cents....

I have one like this..

with what I am almost certain is the original bag. It has a slim white rubber top. I will post pics in a bit.

If i recall right--- My grandmother used to have one very similar to that. Im not sure what happened to it, all im sure of is that its probably a T-shirt right now.
