Hi,
This Regina came with my house when I bought it in 2001. It works well and I have cleaned the entire air flow path. I going to remove the bag and gently wash it.
The vac is model B569B and serial # 005. What year was the B569B made? Any added value with having a serial # 5?
Thanks

We had several of them and based upon the avocado coloring, printing style on the bag, and floor nozzle the date of 1970 seems about accurate. I like those older ones...the bag sort of inflates when it’s on, later models had a more taught bag that didn’t really change shape when on.

I cleaned ours once by taking the dirt cup out and putting the straight wand from my canister vacuum in there to suck out all of the loose dirt. That’s all that was really needed to give it a pretty thorough cleaning unless of course it has gotten smelly and mildewy from being in a damp basement or something.

They always did nicely for quick clean ups but emptying them was never fun because sometimes dirt would fall onto the unit itself as or after you remove the dirt cup...especially if it’s allowed to fill up quite a bit. You can see the concept was truly one of “built on a broomstick”!!

Pressing down on the top of the bag helps to get some slack in the bag when shaking it to delete the dirt in the upper portion of the bag.
