I recently acquired a very nice vintage Regina Brush 'N' Beat upright vacuum. From what I remember I think this was one of the first models that they produced, I think just before the '70's? This machine is in very nice condition and it doesn't look like it was used much. It is model U1150 it has a few codes under the machine, the one right next to the model number is 8 22, I am wondering if that means it was manufactured the 22nd week of 1968 ? Also there is a stamped number on the underside of the machine itself 1222-157, I have no idea what that could be, possibly the serial number? Also, on the rug plate of the machine is a plastic clip on thing, it looks like it might have had a felt strip glued to it, possibly used to vacuum bare floors, it looks whoever had this machine never took that plate off keeping the brush roll from coming in contact with any surface, so if it was used on rugs it would never clean properly, probably why it was hardly used? I never seen one this color, it is kind of a drab greenish/gray color, all the Brush 'N' Beats that I have seen in the past have either been harvest gold, avocado green or blue with houndstooth design on the bag, this is just a plain bag. If anyone has another information on this I would appreciate it.
