I hope I don't get banned for this, but I wanted to share something that bothers me.

Sometimes I post on Reddit on vacuum section. There seems to be some hostility against canisters there. On a few threads where people said they hate canisters, and I shared that I prefer canisters to uprights and both times I got downvoted to 0 points and some people that said they like canisters got negative points.

Also I corrected someone about who makes Kenmore vacuums and I got downvoted there too. It really irritates me that people can't handle someone not agreeing with them. I don't get why people on Reddit seem biased to Big Box store vacuums like bagless uprights, robot vacuums and stick vacs, to where they downvote whoever disagrees.

Yeah reddit is like that. A lot of subreddits will disable ratings entirely so you can't be downvoted.

Also most of the userbase is under 19 so they likely are zealots towards particular brands. Canisters existed before they were born so they never seen one.

Don't take reddit with any seriousness, it's like Whose Line Is It Anyway, "the points don't matter"

Yeah I wouldn't put too much time into Reddit. They seem to like cheap plastic stuff that belches dust and have ear piercing motors.

Honestly I try to help out on Reddit a lot. They seem to give pretty solid advice for the most part. Definitely biased towards SEBO. But right now that's not a bad bias to have.
That whole anti canister thread got downloaded out of existence last time I checked.

There is a troll promoting shark vacuums in consumer reports right now on there.
I talked a little bit about this in my vacuum of the month video.
