Hi everyone,

Just found a vac listed under the vintage category on ebay (see link)
Just wondering, has anyone ever seen one of these before?
I'm curious about it, I think there were companies in the UK that rebuilt popular cleaners like the Hoover Juniors and then sold them on (it's all a bit before my time!). Is that what this vac could be...or perhaps a 'clone' produced by one of these companies?
I never realised they were ever exported to the USA in any case!

Rob

That

is bizarre! A British made Hoover Junior ripoff sold in the States? I am quite agog at this thing...

Yes it is...

Reggie, Jason and I were at a store here in Denver where they had them for sale. Clay, it was at Ming's store...

This was just last Friday...

When I said that I went into the store with Reggie and Jason, this is a store with new and old vacuums. His commment to us about the machine was that it was not worth buying or did not recomend that we get it. He had one sitting in the new section and the used section.

The same seller

has a pink Convertible (the cheepie model with no headlight) with a "Buy It Now" of ... SUCH A DEAL ... $999.99"

NOT A JUNIOR!!!!

Hi All.

This ROBOT cleaner is not a junior at all, but is based loosly around the Hoover juniors of the Seventies.

It is all proprietory and really is not of any noteable quality. I have seen a couple of them at flea markets near where I live.

If you want a junior sized cleaner, then buy a junior, even a machine of 20 plus years old will be in better condition and be far more capable of cleaning you carpets and rugs than this cheap and nasty genetically flawed clone!

Forgive me ranting, but that is an example of messing with nature!! LOL

Anyways, glad to be back and talking vacuums once more!

Happy hoovering all.

Clark.

Curiouser and Curiouser...

Wonder if it's partly based on recons though - that looks like a Junior metal handle to me! I think I would be tempted to buy one if it was cheap enough, just because it's so odd!

You can't beat the original though...

The $999 Convertible

Have we not seen this one before- complete with a 1060 box?? think it went for just over $300??

Think the seller is having a laugh-in my limited UK opinion the only Convertibles worth anywhere near that would be a early 60s model new in box- maybe a nice 1957? model 65 "Citation"
