Business has been slow, so I'm offering specials for the holidays.

I will take scratches out of any plastic(no matter how deep) 20.00 + 5.00 shipping. For any hood or equivelant plastic. We will make any plastic piece look brand new. And a full Kirby rebuild for 180.00 + 20.00 shipping. All the dealers in the area come to us for Kirby's and say we're the best. My guys got 30+ plus years in vacuums so there dedicated

By anything do you also mean old bags? I have 2 Air-Way uprights that need work. The outer bag on the Chief (1937) is badly ripped. Can you restore it?  Here's a look at the two machines in question. The bag is resting on the floor, it'd gray in color, and has been in a storage unit for 7 years.

Bags are really hard, my vacuums sit and sat in a dirt basement, they been there for 30+ years, so my bags are usually always rotten. When this happens I have a local small business make my bags. I know there not original but the get it pretty damn close.

I just might have to take you up on this. I know I have a few cleaners that can diffinatly use polishing. Question: Is it only Kirby's that you will polish?

That can be done, but it will have a mirror like finish, no in between shine. Do you just want it to shine or do you want it completely rebuilt? Bearings popped out greased etc?

On this cleaner, just a shine. This one runs great. Not gonna lie, a new bag for this one would be nice too. Most of the bags on these cleaners are a little faded and tired I'm afraid.

Yeah bags are hard to come buy, I got a lady making bags for my hoover 29 and my eureka model m. I'll let you know how they turn out. But for shine it can be done and I showed my dad a pic of your Vacs and he said the hoover towards the end are the same ones the hoover company would come in and buy our rebuilds for the convention

Yes, please let me know how the bags turn out, if she can duplicate cloth bags for these early cleaners, that would be GREAT! What type of material would be used? It's been my experience that the materials used on bags varies from cleaner to cleaner.

This cleaner doesn't have a brand name on it, just has a star that you see in the picture. The information plate states that it's made by the "Clements Manufacturing Co." So I'm guessing it's a Cadillac rebadge? Oh, and on the bag it says: The Hawk "Makes A Clean Sweep". I thought that was charming.

If you can bring a machine like the one pictured above to a mirror-like finish, then you can work wonders on my Air-Way's, Electrolux's, Kirby's, and others. As I said, once I pay off U-Haul for the 2 pods (in a few weeks) I'll contact you with the list of machines that need work. I can only afford 1 or 2 a month, but at least it's a start.
