Hi Les,
Tacony is the owner of the Fuller Brush Power Maid, The Riccar Squire and the Simplicity Spruce. All are similar vacuums with the same body in different colors and the Riccar and Simplicity have Two Speeds and LED Headlights where the Fuller Brush is one speed.
Shark looks very similar but as far as I can find online, Shark has never been a part of the Tacony line, and have always been made by a separate company. I thought it looked similar too, but I think it’s just a matter of one company “borrowed” the look and style of the vacuum, I’m not sure who made which first. Lol
I own all three of the Fuller Brush, Riccar and Simplicity.. so if anybody has specific questions, let me know and I’ll be glad to answer. Otherwise I hope that answers your question that Shark simply looks similar and is not an identical vacuum from the other three.. to my knowledge.

I didn't think so either. I just barely started seeing the riccar squire on eBay. Riccar is very strict you either buy from them an authorized dealer or it's not for sale. I seen the Fuller brush at the vacuum shop down here. They also had a riccar Supra lite portable mini cannister similar to orecks.
I asked if they had riccar or simplicity squire or spruce. They had to order it in.
I was interested in it instead of Fuller brush wasn't as nice as it's luxury class brothers.
If it's made by who ever owns simplicity I think tacony. If it's made by them you know it's good.
I used the shark and it's a POS. Plain and simple. The new purple cordless handvac is by far the best corded or battery powered hand vac period. I do have a newer dirt devil that has a dust bin and it's really nice. But im not going out on a limb that the Fuller is just as good as the purple cordless shark.

Are made in China. Most of the non full sized vacs (spruce/squire, flash/gem, supraquik/sport and the stick vacs) are made in China.
I know the shop I worked for had some issues with melting brushroll ends and apparently there was some circuit board issues with the Spruce. The Fuller brush version lacked the 2 speed, and I think the headlight. They supposedly fixed the issues on the Fuller branded ones first, so some dealers may have chosen to carry them instead of the riccar/simplicity version.

Because there are definitely not made in the USA .

But I also expect that from the price point.

I was joking. I know everything is made in China. I remember a while ago the riccar vacuums login made in USA. Then they built in USA but parts outsourcing from China.
So I was joking about almost every vacuum for sale not being a Kirby fall into the same category.

Hi Guys,
I started reading my labels again on my Riccar and Simplicity vacuums and found different things.
My Riccar Uprights are all Made in the America from domestic and imported parts. BUT I was shocked to find my rather pricy Simplicity Canister vacuum was made in China (Pic 2) but the Simplicity Powerhead Brushroll (Pic 3) for it is Made in the USA... Say What??
Then I was scanning my pics and found my Hoover Hushtone 13+ Commercial Upright Vacuum is Made in the USA. (Pic 4). Hoover doesn’t say where all the parts are sourced, but I assume like the others probably “Globally Sourced”..?
I think no matter where they are manufactured, the more important decision for me is the Quality of the materials it’s made of and the Build Quality! I’ve found some nicely made Vacuums that sadly were made in China and I’ve yet to find a USA made vacuum that I didn’t like. I guess it’s what has become of Vacuums. I just keep thinking how sadly there may not be Kenmore or other vacuums in the future and it’s sad to see Panasonic and other Japanese brand Vacuums going away!

My work sold the Fullerbrush version of these, haven't seen any technical problems with them yet besides just maintenance.

Almost all handvacs are made in China. In this era of "me too" styling, it's difficult to tell a lot of things apart. However, the shape is slightly different and the vents are different in the two vacs above.
The most American vacuums today are Kirby, Rainbow, Filter Queen, and some Aerus models. Rainbow makes nearly every part in their own factory-including the hoses, wands, and motors. I dunno who makes Kirby motors, but I think they are still made by Kirby. Same goes for Filter Queen I believe.
