While the Filter Queen is a great vacuum, the new ones leave a lot to be desired over models that were out prior to the 75th anniversary edition.
According to the specifications sheet for the 360, the single-stage Ametek motor while in operation at high speed (30,400 RPM) creates 100 CFM. In low speed (27,000 RPM) it creates 60 CFM. This is less than machines that used the two-stage Ametek Lamb motor.
Also, the Medipure filter which is claimed to filter to .1 microns is independently rated when tested outside of the unit itself in a lab, not when used in the machine. How it filters when it is used in the machine is anyone’s guess...
I purchased a 80th anniversary Majestic 360 recently, and while it is a nice machine, I prefer my Majestic triple crown or Miele canister to it...
