Some months back someone put up about 8 different generations of Kirby bags. $70 - $100 each. They sold within 5 days, all of them.

If you sell it

People will buy. Regardless of the price. That's part of the reason I sold the last Kirby I had - prices for parts and accessories are absurd nowadays 🥴 same could be said for all "premium" brands, Rainbow is the same way. I've essentially scrapped my D3C together over the past several years due to the high cost of parts. Tool caddy is from a D4 with a dead motor, power head is for an SE and has an E Series gold motor in it, 2qt basin is from a D4 again... And so on. Even the spider is from that same D4 with the bad motor 😂
I love Rainbows personally, but the older models have proven problematic and it's discouraging sometimes when you eant to find parts to fix up something you like, and eBay is just painful. Just me though

I aim for concours restorations, so everything has to be correct down to the last screw. I will install temporary parts that fit, but are incorrect, as placeholders until the actual part is found (takes years). 7 years on the Hunt for a Hoover Z400/700 series access door.

On different occasions last year, I bought three Kirbys at Goodwill--a Legend II ($10), Gsix ($20) and G4 ($25). In each instance, used the rationale that it was worth more in parts than I was paying for the whole machine; in fact, the Gsix, which was in the roughest shape, was bought specifically for parts to fix up the G4. Too bad I couldn't keep to that. A few months later, I ended up feeling sorry for it sitting in pieces, and scrounged up enough parts to fix it up, mainly from what I had on hand. The big parts purchase was a G4 that was flying under the radar on eBay, which was able to get on the cheap. At a glance, you can hardly tell the difference, other than it being charcoal gray instead of black, and having no flecks of yellow.

That's not even a genuine bag. It's aftermarket because it has the K's inside diamonds instead of the Kirby logo inside ovals or circles.
