I got one that's almost NOS online for a great price. No box but basically never used. It has two motors, one for the suction and one for the nozzle. The hose has electric connectors on the end that connect to the front. Nozzle can also come off for easier reach of things. The label says 6.5 amps, not sure if that's both combined or the main motor.

Anyone else ever used one? Surprisingly fantastic hand vacuum. Shame no one makes hand vacuums like this anymore.

Dirt Devil later replaced it with a red model that was downgraded with only one motor. Apparently that model was pretty pitiful in comparison.

Can post pics if interested.

ha cool

One of my childhood friends family bought one of those and I got to try it out. I thought it was the coolest thing with it being able to detach from the main body but still run the brushroll. It's a neat little unit but I'd assume cost is the reason for them going to turbines on future models.

Oh one little piece of advice never plug the head directly into a 120v source you'll fry it, made that mistake a number of years ago.

Im

Pretty sure I have this model. It's got some power.
I have an Iona(formerly Regina) Dirt Raider that is a 7 or 7.5 amp motor.
The riccar handvac I have sort of functions similarly to the Dirt devil.
There all 3 great hand vacuums.

I've used one before from an old neighbor that I used to vacuum for every other week. Very impressive machine, my only criticism about it was that the filter clogged up really quickly. But luckily it was super easy to clean out.

I've seen this a few times but never bothered with it because it didn't look so interesting. I'll have to keep an eye out for one now and try it.
