HAHA nice. I work at a vacuum shop too. I threw a couple sharks away the other day. I thought of your channel when I did it.
Sharks are crap if you're cheap get a Hoover
let's be honest we frequently see 20 year old daily driver Hoover Windtunnel Self-propelled models working perfectly and these are "disposable vacuums" has anyone ever seen a daily driver of the "top of the line" shark that is a day over 5 years they're such crap and it's irritating the vacuum industry is going the way of this cheap crap
Ofcourse let's continue to be honest here the new Dyson uprights are only slightly better
Anyway great video enjoy them as always and the tip on keyboard cleaning was appreciated

Dishwashing stuff-For me have used the dishwasher to clean patchbays for radio station studios-good way to salvage old ones.also small vacuum capacitors from AM transmitters and phasors.Same with small forced air cooled radiator transmitter tubes-the dishwasher blasts the dead cooked bugs out of tube radiators!The vac shop here washes down the plastic parts for Miele vacuums that were used to pick up cat pee.Have suggested to the vac shop guy to get an old dishwasher for the vac parts.
WHAT!!Someone catually repairing and cleaning a Shark vacuum??At the place I visit--into the dumpster they go!!!And yes-the vac shop shows them a new Miele or Sebo-or--ANOTHER SHARK!!!He has a few in stock for parts or insistent customers.And first time seeing someone open the Shark powernozzle!

Awesome video, the reason the vacuum industry promotes that kind of junk is because that's what people want. Many consumers simply don't want to pay for quality, buy it cheap and if they buy another one in a couple years, that's fine. The idea of paying a bit more and having an appliance last for 10 to 20 years is a foreign concept. Also there are fewer vac shops than there used to be so exposure to higher quality machines such as Aerus, Miele, Lindhaus and Sebo is limited. I am no longer considering Riccar on the high quality list, the changes that Tacony is making will ruin that brand.

@tolivac For the price of a soggy Benjamin some vacuum shops will actually repair these. Oh believe me we tried to sell the owner on buying a dishwasher several times.

Also this is the proper service technique for Shark vacuums.

Everything
has to be energy efficient - Everyone has to be green....We mustn't waste our resources, right? And yet companies produce planned obsolescence appliances, vacuums, the list goes on - wasting TONS and TONS of resources & prouducing unnecessary waste. It's like where are the environmental nazis when it comes to this?

Yeah this is a massive waste of resources that just goes straight to the dump not to mention the waste of manpower going in to build this crap, it's sad really how we waste resources in the construction of this disposable trash

I'm wondering how many of you have actually used a Shark vacuum on a daily basis for a month and aren't just lemmings following the herd? I have a Shark NV60 and it's an excellent vacuum.
Well I don't use a shark because it's not worth me paying for it, i have used a Dyson and found the results more or less similar to what many on here and other places have said, i see no reason why thier would be some conspiracy against shark
I know!!!Be GREEN and buy an expensive vacuum cleaner that can be easily REPAIRED!!On rare occasions-the owner of the place I go sometimes uses crappy vacuums as targets!!

@cmbcool01 The poor performance of these very narrow Little machines cannot be stated enough until you use one. These vacuums really make most of the TTI products look very good.
@tolivac @mark40511 why I'm not a big environmentalist by any stretch of the imagination. I agree with both of you that it's quite a waste of money and resources. Not to mention everybody's time. Such a shame that consumers are going towards products like this.

That Shark motor will literally scream its guts out-the Nilfisk motor-metal frame at that-can be repaired and possibly last an owners lifetime in the Nilfisk vacuum.Have one-neat machine-got it from the trade in pile from the Kirby guy.Just need to get new bags for my Nilfisk "Silver Bullet"!
