I honestly forgot if I made a similar thread some time ago, but I know Eurekaade vacuums for a brand called White Westinghouse in the very early 90s. I've seen the hard bag models (one pictured below) but I was windering if any had or hand any photos of the soft bag model. I've seen elusive ad photos in newspapers for them but never an actual photo of it.

The whole White Westinghouse episode in Eureka’s history is once again a result of parent Electrolux of Sweden gobbling up another American appliance company: White Consolidated Industries. Not sure when this happened, but probably around the early 1990’s when Eureka was selling it’s new World Vac line of cleaners. From about that time for about a decade, The Eureka Company seemed to be a subdivision of White Consolidated Industries. All packaging for cleaners, bags and belts had a copyright date with the name White Consolidated Industries or WCI. This also included Beam central vacuums. There was even a White Westinghouse Mighty Mite vacuum!!!!

Yes now I remember that I made a thread a few years back about this.i had no idea they also made a mighty mite version. I would assume the version from the 80s. I'm talking about a particular model that looked like a Bravo. I think from the add it was a white color. It's definitely a rarity but it actually looks much nicer than the Eureka versions

With Westinghouse.......... you can be sure it's crap!

. Applies here. Isn't this a Eureka Bravo essentially?

So growing up my neighbor had this vacuum as well a Kirby Heritage II. When I first moved there and started helping her clean her house the Heritage was broke actually, I assume that’s why she had the Westinghouse in the first place. I fixed the Heritage and used it instead of the Westinghouse. She ran into the Kirby salesman at the county fair and wound up trading the Heritage for a G6. When she passed I managed to nab her G6 Kirby on her estate sale. I liked vacuums at the time but hadn’t got into collecting. If I’d known that that that Westinghouse would have been the much rarer vacuum I would have grabbed it for sure!

According to Wikipedia:

"Westinghouse Licensing Corporation ... was created in 1975 when White Consolidated Industries bought the Westinghouse Electric Corporation's major appliance business. White Consolidated Industries was in turn acquired by Electrolux in 1986."

You still ended up good with the G6! Kirby's are absolute monsters, so im surprised to hear that the Heritage actually broke down so early before you fixed it. Ive been looking into a Heritage II lately but I could do for any of the 80s-2000s models. Some Kirby's from what I heard back then were developed in part with NASA? Is this true?

To be fair that heritage II was probably 10-15 years old by that point. The power switched had cracked and split in half. If I remember I was able to glue it back together. The G6 is great, I still have it. Of course Kirby’s are fairly common to come by, I have 9 of them now a days I believe! My favorite ones are probably the Sentria or the Heritage II, which is very similar to the one she had.

and also...

Someone that's a better Kirby expert than me can chime in but I believe the fan material was a NASA developed product. The have used different materials over the years and I'm not 100% sure which models go with the different types.

Thats about right now from what I remember reading a comment off of Ibaisaic's channel. The fans were helped created by NASA in part so thats probably what it mainly was. And yes Kirby's like your G6 always stand the test of time, even pitted against other well built manufacturers. I like the heritages and the generation series. The Avalir gen 1 and 2 both look like the Heritage and Tradition brought to the modern day with their colors. Such awesome vacs.
