Rare Turbopower 2?

What a bummer, then why is he still advertising he has got it then? That vac is like a diamond in the rough - how many on VL would have a TP2 with the bag door piston indicator?

Hopefully the TP2 with the piston bag full indicator has gone to a collector, so at least one of us will have a good example of one to document.

I haven't seen one of those since they were originally on display in Comet. Even later in the run, when the design had been modified, my local Comet had the original TP2 on display.

They had major issues with the bag door splitting and were very quickly modified.

I had one from brand new about 18 years ago, A TP3 Autosense Permabag 2 and I loved it. I think this model was the pre-cursor to the Dustmanager uprights from the Purepower range ie, the permabag system evolved into the dustmanager cassette.

I wish they continued the autosense feature on the Purepower models for longer than they did. To find a Purepower autosense in good working order nowadays very difficult.

Autosense was a gimmick I agree but it was the gimmick to have when I was in my early 20's and I just had to have it. I wish I still had that TP3 model, but I got rid of it when I got the Dyson Dc07.[this post was last edited: 11/4/2013-16:32]

I would of loved that piston tp2 aswell, as people will know me, know that I am obcessed with them!! Ahh well, there will be another, but when? Well, maybe Nelson will get his eye back before another one creeps up.
