Nice - looks odd though - did it come with that nozzle on it as an option?

My Heritage 1 is slightly different as well - can you tell why?

It aint a Heritage 2 - it is a Heritage 1 - Date 1981, as the H2 didn't have the sani-emptor and had a red and black handle bail graphic

Its actually a stock Heritage 1 with a later cloth bag from a Heritage 2. It should have a red bag as shown in "Functionalert"'s pictures. It uses a bag fill tube and type 2 Kirby bags with the oval hole. I was going to get a red original bag for it at some time, but the one it has looks OK.

Hey Allen

I LOVE this machine - would you like to email me the price you're looking for? I've always wanted one of these - but they were never sold in Australia... But when we relocate to the US in 2013 - this would be a beast to have in my new collection!

Nice Heritage

The small nozzle was an option starting with the Heritage and ending with the Legend2, I have a Heritage2 with the small nozzle. nice machines,makes it more balanced, and yes somewhat rare. Mark

heritage & legend II

i own one of each & wish they had the old style shake out bags. i hate paper bags ! they are beautiful machines & work wonderful though.

Dwayne,

As I said before, they were available with the shake-out bag, but the option is rare for both. If you wish to convert one to this setup, the following parts are required:

FOR KIRBY HERITAGE 1HD

If already equipped with the disposable bag system, then remove these parts:
187681S = outer bag assembly (contains parts 190081 outer bag, 190181 fill tube bottom adapter, 190381 fill tube, 190481 fill tube top adapter, 190681 disposable bag, 191182 tube tie)

Add these parts:
189481S = complete outer bag with pocket

FOR KIRBY HERITAGE II 2HD

If already equipped with disposable bag system/Mini Em-tor, remove the entire assembly.

Add these parts:
179984S = Sani Em-tor assembly
185984S = Sani Em-tor bottom, black
186182 = Sani Em-tor gasket
191684 = bag guard
189484S = complete outer bag with pocket

Dwayne,

One more thing: when you convert your Heritage II to the "reusable" bag setup, you will also need to change out the rear axle setup to part no. 102080 which is a shorter rear axle and allows the Sani Em-tor to fit snugly.

heritage II

THANKS BEN ! i would like to find someone who has one to get rid of. maybe someone has one sitting around that does not work. it's a stretch, but who knows ? here is a pic of my heritage II.

Dwayne,

Would you also favor using a 13" wide nozzle on your Heritage II? I've heard people say that it has less restrictive air flow than the standard 16" nozzle.

Like the "reusable bag system," it is also a very rare option for the Heritage series.

Part nos.
143382S = Complete nozzle, less brush roll (1HD)
143384S = Complete nozzle, less brush roll (2HD)
Both: Use 500505 brush roll and 301291 belt.
