Rare Fiberglass Companion on eBay

Here's a pretty rare specimen of a late-model Electrolux XXX Companion, made of fiberglass instead of metal. I've only ever seen a couple of these. Apparently Electrolux decided fiberglass wasn't a good material for the Companion since they went back to metal with the LX.

I have one fiberglass example and several in metal. I too, have seen very few of them.

fiberglass Companion

As above a rare find.Fiberglass would have been seen more through the 50s, most notably on the 53 Corvette.The few I have seen seem to do well in the curved shape for XXX but may not have worked to fit over the LX handle.
