Some Saturdays I will take part of the afternoon off which usually includes flea markets/thrift stores. As it was nice this Sat I decided to go a little further out and pass up some of the closer places.I found some better than average books including biographies of Hunter S Thompson & Salvadore Dali and a magazine with a great full color ad insert for all the 1966 GE appliances. Then I see a dust brush with good bristles that turns out to be the above floor from perhaps an Olympia. As I walk toward it I see the extra wide commercial floor brush next to some Model R hoses that would match Elux of about 1967.When I ask about them I'm told they go with a "big vacuum" they will try to find.I then think that I have plenty of Elux wands so I will take the 2 off of the floor brush--but,wait--these are original CA style comm wands with each standard size wand having a spring latch at the top!So I will leave them on.Then I look at the hoses and find them dirty and worn so I think if I leave them I will have one less thing to take to the car.But this looks like lot of hose so I count 4 ends and divide by 2 to find this is only 2 hoses. So I reach down and pick the Mo R hose up--and up--and UP.When I measure it later it is over 12 FEET LONG excluding ends!!So I will plan an extra trip to the car.By now they have found the "big vacuum" and here comes a blue CB that turns out to be very good but not perfect with the the original cord and plug with all 3 prongs and looks near new when I look under the lid at the fan housings.
