I should take time to post at AW but many here know their way around a kitchen.
With warmer weather I have been to a few more thrift stores & antique malls.Recently saw--White Norge range,3 doors-oven in middle storage on sides,2 drawers, burner knobs at front edge,4 big round red indicator lights on rear panel.Mid 50s?--Gold Deluxe Frigidaire wide, tall back panel. Some tape at upper right rear.1968 or so?--White Kelvinator wide, control panel in middle of upper rear panel with chrome burner knob at each corner, oven knob in middle.Late 60s?--Yellow GE Super DELUXE wide range with griddle outlet at left rear, pushbuttons, sensitemp?,owners manual(I think),about 1960?
All seem good or better.Prices maybe medium range but not terrible..At 3 places in NE corner of Tenn near interstates. If any interest call me for locations--423-268-4841.,Jimmy

Hi Jimmy, I will try to

Call you sometime over the weekend, I want to look at these, especially the Norge.

White House ranges

I picked up a 1954 White House history including the Truman renovation this weekend.(WH was gutted to the outside walls and rebuilt.)It shows the 3rd floor kitchen(not to be confused with the 2nd floor kitchen added later by Jackie Kennedy next to family dining room). It shows much of the kitchen with stainless steel counter tops and KitchenAid household dishwasher. The range is GE with 3 burners and deep well at left and round clock with round knob on each side and push buttons at right rear. This is probably where Ike made soups and stews. He was also said to be an outdoor bar-b-q cook.
This book also states that in addition to AC in all rooms a central vacuum system was added.
