Rainbows in the UK?

So recently I've been watching some videos about rainbow vacuums, and they seem very interesting they seem to have a love/hate effect, I would love to get one or even just to try one, but I'm not certain on their availability in England.

Could someone help me out? I'd love to know some more about rainbows, are they as bad/good as people say they are? Is water filtration effective? Can wet Dirt REALLY not fly??

They look very good but a new one is £1500 or more. I wouldn't pay that.

If I could pick up a used one on ebay I'd like to try one.

Yeah same, although they might be worth the money since the motor has no carbon brushes to wear out. They seem like sturdy machines, I wonder what their performance is like though. So how long have Rainbows been sold over here? Does anyone on VL have one in the UK? I expect James would, but then he has everything

Most of them are American on Youtube. Apart from Rainbows are there any other water filter vacs on sale in Britain at the moment?

I am sure the pro aqua as well as the delphin, both made in Germany, are available in the UK. For an affordable water filtration machine, the Sirena is awesome. Here is a picture of my Sirena. They are also made in a 240 V version. Wet dust cannot fly. The first rainbow was made in 1936.

Yeah I saw a video about the Sirena on Youtube, it looks nice! I think after I get my Kirby Classic 1 CR imported my next vacuum will be a water filtration one, there's a neptune on EBay for 50 quid including shipping....

As far as I'm aware Ritello, Delphin and Pro Aqua are available too, couldn't find a UK specific website for any of those though.

The Sirena looks like a nicely designed machine. £700 is still pricy, but at around one third of the cost of the Rainbow, it appears to be a good buy for those who are already in the market for this type of cleaner. Given the choice, I know which of the two I'd take a punt on.

Rainbow & Sirena

are both awesome - but the rainbow separator is better after having used both of them. It keeps the dirt off the fans in the machine a lot better than the Sirena. But for the price, Sirena is very good.

Thomas machines do not have a separator, they use baffles to keep the water out of the motor. We had them in the USA for a while, they are a filthy mess to clean. The wet cat hair is on everything.

I have a Delphin, it's most like a D4 model Rainbow - very well made motor with triple suction fans.

The Sirena is a great value, they cost $900 in the USA. Clean beautifully.

The Pro-Aqua is an awesome machine with an excellent power nozzle.

Any water filtration machine, to be most effective, should have a separator. That's essential.

So I got in contact with a guy on gumtree, and I'll probably be buying a Bissell All rounder water filtration vacuum. It looks like it's just come out the box, and he says it's only be used once. It's a bargin for only 60 pounds!

Well Zach, tomorrow will be the introduction video and on Wednesday the first demo video showing the machine in water filtration dry vacuum mode. The other two videos feature carpet and upholstery cleaning and finally hard floor washing. They will follow in a week or two.
