I have recently acquired a Rainbow D4C-SE. It was in decent shape when I found it. I carried it to th vacuum shop to have it serviced anyway. After several weeks of use, I have noticed that the suction is much weaker than on my Electrolux E from 1954. I have no experience with Rainbows until this vacuum, but have lots of Electrolux experiences. My rainbow actually seems weaker than any Lux I’ve ever used. Are Luxes just more powerful than Rainbows, or could there be something wrong with my Rainbow.
Now I have to say, that the Rainbow is nothing to sneeze at. I’ve used it several weeks and thoroughly enjoy using it. I love the freshness of the air and the quiet hum is just very pleasing.
I have included some photos. Does the separator need to be replaced? Could the broken lip on water pan cause a suction leak?
