I have been thinking of picking up a rainbow, but mostly for use shampooing, I just wanted to know how long the hose is on the aquamate since you hok it up to a sink.
Also want to know how it connects to the sink.
You take off the end of the sink filter & screw it on like you do a hose in the garden but the threads on on the outside & it screws up into the sink.
Might be better to get a attachement that attaches to a hose outside as a big problem with hooking it up to the sink is no matter how tight I make it or adjust the couple end water squirts out the side by the attachment & sprays all over the place...
Maybe I need a different attachement end or washer or something
but that's as it came & its a hard to use because of it
no don't think thats it
as water comes out where the hose attaches to the metal connector..it's hald together w a spring clamp & no matter how tight I make the hose to metal connection water finds its way out the hose.
Think someone might have changed it to fit to a sink setup but it gives me nothing but trouble.
What would I have to do to get the hose connected to a fitting to screw onto a hose...as it is now its a male connector type.
Only used it once than put it away
same thing w rainbow have a dc3 I think & it came shipped iwth losts of brokwn parts. even a mounting screw hole was broken off...The machine was a mess. Bought another exterior ro replace the broken parts...
Switched a good top onto it but never switched out the base part that holds the motor as I didn;t want to mess with the water gasket...also need a new water basket as the plastic was broken where they conected to the basket.
It was a nightmare but got it so that its usable still there's only so much you can do with tape & gorilla glue
So now rainbow just sits it really is a pain to use but its nice that it will pick up water.
I even just mist the carpet real good with mild super green solution & then go over it with a regular upolstery type tool to get out the extra moisture..works at getting off surface dirt & freshing the carpet.
