Raffle items for the Summer convention.

I'm posting this in here because it's a place where all members can see it.
For anyone thinking about the VCCC convention, please consider donating raffle items. That raffle is always a lot of fun. There are new items, old items, etc....
I've won some very nice things at them. Some have gotten stores, shops to donate a NEW, high end item.
I've aleready started making a'pile' of items to go into the raffle. Some are Hoover items,(naturally), some are of another species, lol(I hope you see the HUMOR in that, for God's sake).
I'm donating quite a nice little assortment of things...some might surprise you.
So,please consider this.Along your travels, you might spy something that would be a great idea for the convention raffle.
I KNOW the convention is going to be "full of interesting surprises", already.

I’m temporary taking over the newsletter for the club. Information on the convention will be in the newsletter once the date is set. I plan to have the newsletter out by mid-November and I plan on uploading the newsletter to our club website. If by chance the dates are not set for the convention by the time the newsletter is published. The 2016 convention information will be on our club’s website.

btw is planning for the convention? I have asked before, and only thing I've heard is "the board"? I know usually the convention for the following year begins shortly after the current year convention, due to booking the room, getting rates, etc. I've heard of two possible personal functions once there is a convention planned. I will be bidding for my vacation soon, and the dates would be helpful. I indeed did bring items this year for the raffle, only to discover there wasn't one, as I have provided at least one or two vacuums for past conventions, even shipping them ahead when I was flying.

The hotel is still being decided for the convention! We want to give the exact date rather than change it later. So please bear with us.

I heard that Chad has a lot of ends to tie up.


 


 I also spoke w/ him...  there are a few surprises coming... Some things are being added,  rejuvinated,  updated,  tweaked.  Somewill like these things,  some, of course, will not.


  But....................


  We're also considering, in addition to the regular 'raffle',  of introducing a "basket (themed) raffle".  This doesn't HAVE to even be vacuum-related.  I've seen this happen with great success. I'm already working on one, or two.


 So,  please consider creating a themed "basket" for the raffle.


  Again,  there's a lot of stuff being discusssed, planned... great think tanks.  It's being done for all of The VCCC to enjoy.

I'm making at least ONE basket,  perhaps another.  I've also gotten items ready for the raffle.... can you believe a Dirt Devil product??  Fear not...   I had my gloves handy.  There will be great items at the raffle once more.
