ooo radios!

I have a 60s transistor radio that still runs on all it's original parts, that's about it unless you count my 60s GE clock-radio!!

I love my 1973 Zenith solid state radio! I use him everyday! Also, love my 1958 Westinghouse clock radio, love the soft glow of his light and the sound of his radio fading in louder at 5am! Actually love all of my radio and clock babies, but those 2 are at the top! :) -Michelle

My aunt who I'm going to see has a Telefunken music consul with the speakers that pull out from the side.

My favorite was an Atwater Kent 558 Super Heterodyne, made in 1932. Used 2 #58 pentodes for the RF amps, a 57 for a voltage regulator on the screen grids of the 58s,a 55 for a local oscillator, a 58 for the mixer, a 56 for the detector & first AF, and a 47 for output, with an 80 for the power supply. The speaker had a cloth rim on the cone for better bass.
