According to his profile, the creator of this thread, who is offering to host a mini-meet, is only 13 years old. He has publicly posted his address. This should raise all sorts of red flags with the site's moderators.


 


Do his parents approve, and will they be on hand to supervise? Will any security measures be taken to screen attendees? Will covid-19 safety steps be followed? What about the closed vac shop? Will it be safe to enter? Have its owners given permission for this to take place?

Years ago, a young collector talked to me regularly. When I invited him to a minimeet, naturally, his parents checked everything out first. They dropped him off, went shopping, came back to take him home. I appreciated that.
As an adult, he continued coming. Now, I never see or hear from him.
But....
ALL parties must be responsible.
