Quantum X Upright Water filtration vacuum

Any one here tried one of these? Just saw it myself today. I did see one post from some time ago thru a google search that lead to here but didn't' see any responses to the post.

On thing I noticed about it is the placement of the inlet tube into the water basin on that machine should really be positioned to the back side of the water basin instead of in the front. Thereby keeping that inlet tube submerged in the water no mater what position the unit is in.

Also how would you keep from swamping the motor if the machine should tip over while in operation even with a spinning water separator. Most especially when using the hose.

I've got one

It's a quirky machine, from all the water vacs i've tested it has the highest flow at the nozzle so far but the brushroll seems to be a little underpowered and like a thicker carpet may cause it to stall. It uses a motor that doesn't appear to be serviceable, and there's no after filter which I think is necessary on a water filtration vacuum. It's not horrid especially for the price tag.

From your airflow test looks like the vacuum is pulling the same CFM the Rainbows have tested out at the power head.

Stalling agitator would be of concern. Hard on the motors and not effectively grooming plush carpeting. Sounds like it is more designed with Berber/looped carpet/low pile area rugs and or hard surface flooring.

Have you tried the squeegee floor tool to pick up water/spills on a hard surface floor? One video review the customer wasn't as impressed with that accessory as she had hoped for.

wait what?

68.86 cfm puts it above any rainbow i've tested thus far. I think the highest nozzle CFM was 52.41 from the E2 black.

No I've not tried the squeegee

I couldn't remember exactly what the airflow was on the rainbow. I just remembered that I didn't find it impressive. Have you had any noticeable dust/hair not being captured at times when the intake tube wasn't fully submerged in the water?

I didn't use it enough to noticed that. The exhaust path wasn't like horribly dirty when I first got it and cleaned it *shrugs*
